Writing

Lisa graduated in 2002 with a BA Honours in Performing Arts, where she specialised in playwriting. In 2003 Lisa was invited to attend the Advanced Master Class in theatre writing at the Royal Court Theatre. Her tutor, Simon Stevens, later selected her for a reading at the theatre and then to represent the UK at World Interplay where Dame Judy Dench and Alan Rickman were her sponsors.

Lisa’s writing also won a reading at The Bush Theatre, and was shortlisted for the Young Writer’s Competition at the Royal Court and Soho Theatres.

Then, just as her career was taking off, at the age of 25, Lisa had an awakening, which lead her to quit writing totally. After a decade passed and many more awakenings, Lisa began to write again. In that short time, Lisa's work has been shortlisted for BBC Writersroom drama and received positive scores for the Nicholl Fellowships.
